Ok anyone out there going to try out Bing?  I imagine this is like Yahoo and Google in the early days very few advertisers where you can get clicks like for .05 cents.

I remember those days like it was 9 years ago.  When 10 dollars went a whole month.  I am curious if we did this early will we get the prize?

Anyone have any luck/results yet?  Or am I just to new on this conversation?

Ron,

Is this like the MSN that you can do ppc on?  I have used MSN ppc and gotten some, but it's extremely little.

Maybe we should try it?

Test Test Test

Well Ron, I just threw down a Benjamin on Bing so we'll see what happens.

I'm open for new things.

Happy 4th all.

Still working on it Ron.  No word on Bing yet.  I only put in a campaign for one area, Clear Lake.  Am trying to learn the system.  So far only 19 impressions in 3 days or so.

Anyone else got a thing for Bing???

I am in now to on Bing.  Amazingly I have no competition... The only challenge I am starting to face is that my Finding Buyers is actually the least expensive marketing with the best return.  I am actually wondering why I am spending money when Craigslist is free?

If Dean and Sony can answer that I may give up on PPC altogether.  Is PPC addictive, like a drug... I don't know if I can get off on my own or will need a twelve step program.

Your post reminded me to go check my Bing account.  So far?  It's a thumbs down.  Activated the account July 4th and to date have 4 clicks out of 95 impressions.  I mean in reality I suppose, it's not too bad.  That's for one community; Clear Lake.

I guess I could do my others and see how that works.  Spent $1.05 so certainly no real money spent.

By the way, if you want to try Bing, their support is above and beyond.  I asked a simple question and have had this guy emailng me 2 or 3 x per week trying to help.

I still see very little traffic there though.

Anyone else?

95 impressions? GEEZ!  JD, are you using the full list of keywords?

Google Terms
(You might need the password to the Academy Library to get this list) - email me for it, if you don't already have it.  Trying to keep a few things sacred for MMW subscribers.

But Sony, I've got 400 keywords.  No kidding!  I just stole them from my account with Satan...uh...I mean Google.

I don't use the quotations or the brackets (I still have never really caught on to those anyway) but all the plain jane ones, I use.

Let me give you an example for the last 30 days for the term, clear lake texas real estate:

Bing: Impressions = 30 and Clicks = 3 (the "rate" is good actually)

Google: Impressions 363/5 that's for plain jane search term

For the quotation mark ones, that number is 6/0

For the bracket ones, the number is 191/20 (a good rate as well)

So the volume just isn't there.

Now then, the average cost per click on Google is nearly a buck while the average cpc on Bing is a fifth of that at 21 cents.

Sony, I'm open to coaching.  Any thoughts here?

Quite honestly, I've just been lazy and haven't put up my other six little communities.

I'd love to get some ideas from you.  Will they let you use that bracket and quotation jazz?

Guess I could go study it myself but then I wouldn't have time to post to all my friends here on the message board

Hey JD
Glad to hear you have all those keywords - which surprises me even more about your low volume of impressions and clicks.

Now, I just "binged" clearlake texas real estate - and your ads didn't show. Have you paused them while on vacation?

Also, I'll look into it a little more... I did get an email from MSN and they have a whole keyword tool that works with your excel... so I'm going to check that out as well. Oops - it only works with Excel 2007. Microsoft is the master of TRIANGULATION!

Sony.  I'm a bit confused.  Is Bing and MSN the same thing?  I set up a Bing account, but it looks identical to my MSN adwords account that I had some time back.

The last 7 days in my Bing! account has yielded 6 people into Get Response at a total cost of $7.23.  This was from 21 clicks. That's well under half what it costs to get a prospect from my Google campaigns.

That's not a huge number, but like Dean says, it all adds up.
