I sent an email to my databas last night.

Just Wondering

Are you looking at a certain neighborhood to buy a home in?

Regards,

Debra

I sent it out to 300 people and got 33 to respond. A couple were renters (I referred to a rental agent) and I have responded to 5 but no further contact.

When they told me where they wanted, my next email was:

"How many bedrooms, baths, and price range? I will be happy to send you some listings."

THAT IS WHERE I LOST THEM.

Dean,
What should my next response be to keep them in conversation???

Thanks,

Debra,

The best email dialogues are exactly like a conversation.

When you ask for something...and they give it to you...you need to reward them.

In the example you gave...if they tell you what neighborhood they're looking for, you should respond with some listings, and another question.

Hi Debra,

River Run is a great neighborhood!

Have you seen these?

I showed the one on Linden Circle earlier this week and it's really decorated nicely.

Are you looking for something you can fix up, or something you can move right in?

Dean

Be patient. Don't jump the gun. Just have a natural conversation, and you'll be amazed that after 2 or 3 emails they will really open up to you.
